Around this time of year, we review how things are going to make sure we’re offering the best service we can. We look at everything, the fabrics, the trimmings, the designs, the pricing, the service – you name it, we discuss it.

Some years we tweak a little, some years we change a lot. This year we’re being radical. So please have a read because as from 1st September 2017 we’ll be making the following service changes.

We will no longer offer embroidery as a service. Instead, we will provide plain aprons that you can have embroidered elsewhere if required.

All our existing customers who have received embroidery, please don’t fear. We have always outsourced this work to Logo Studio, and you can continue to go to them directly. Your logo is on file and they’ll be able to help you.

For any new customers, if you require embroidery we can recommend a supplier and leave you to discuss directly the necessary arrangements and payment.

We’re reducing the custom fabric options from 30 to 13 – a baker’s dozen! The most popular colours will remain of course, but the rest will be removed from our standard service.

As well as offering cotton drill, we’ll also be introducing denim to broaden the range of fabrics. So the full options will be:

Cotton drill

  • Black
  • Cocoa
  • Cranberry
  • Khaki
  • Mustard
  • Mushroom
  • Navy
  • Olive
  • Slate

  • Black
  • Indigo
  • Black candy stripe
  • Red candy stripe

We’re expanding the range of colours we offer for piping and ties. As well as the current natural (cream) and black options, we’ll also have these colours to choose from:

  • Black
  • Natural
  • Red
  • Navy
  • Orange
  • Green
  • Brown

Custom boxes

All custom aprons will now be sold in boxes of 10 – no smaller, no bigger. So for example, if you design a Barratt in black denim with orange piping and ties, this will come in a box of 10 only. It won’t be possible to mix cuts or designs within the same box.

The boxes replace our minimum order threshold. We’re also removing the tiered discounts and reducing the regular price to compensate. Overall an order should be cheaper.

Web shop

If you want smaller quantities, single apron sales can be made via our web shop. This will have pre-designed styles that cannot be customised. We’ll be introducing some new styles over the coming weeks and months.

Bespoke service

For anyone looking for a fully bespoke service, with a wider choice of fabrics, colours, amendments to designs and more, we will be offering a fully bespoke service. This is available for orders over 250 aprons. This will also include the option of subscription payment to help spread the cost over a year, rather than all upfront.

Our current service will operate as normal until 31st August 2017. So if you’d like to order embroidery or any of the colours we’re about to discontinue, please do so before this date.

Of course, if you have any questions or would like to discuss the changes with us, please do get in touch. As always we thank you for your custom and we hope we can continue to serve you in the months and years ahead.
